Adding a Product
To add a product to your membership site, you will have to move to the Products Management page.
Step-by-Step action:

- Press the “Catalog” tab in the menu.
- Select “Manage products”.
|
To add a product to the newly created boutique, follow these guidelines.
Step-by-Step action:

- Press “Add product” button.
|
Select the following Attribute Settings and the Product Type.

- Select "Settings".
- Select the tab "Create Product Settings".
- Field "Attribute Set": Choose “Default”.
- Field "Product Type": Set “Simple Product” options.
- Press “Continue” button.

General Information Tab
Set the following configuration.
Detailed description:

- Select the "General" tab.
- Option "Name": Enter Product name.
- Option "Description": Enter product description.
- Option "Short Description": Provide short description.
- Option "SKU": Enter a unique identifier for product E.g. dress1.
- Option "Weight": Weight of product.
- Option "Set product as New from Date": Choose the date when the product will be on sale.
- Option "Set product as New to Date": Choose the date when the product will be expired. (This option together with the previous one allow you to indicate the time period when the products will be displayed in the Inspiration Wall Extension. Note, these fields are optional.)
- Option "Status": Set "Enabled".
- Option "URL Key": Enter the Product name without spaces (Spaces can be replaced with "-" (hyphen) or "_" (low dash) symbols).
- Option "Visibility": Set "Catalog, Search".
- Option "Country of Manufacture": Select the manufacturing country.
- Option "Color": Select the color of the product you want to create.

Price Tab
Move to “Price” tab and fill the following fields

- Select the menu section "Prices".
- Select the tab "Prices".
- Option "Price": Enter regular retail price for item.
- Option "Special Price": Enter price for members.
- Option "Tax Class": Choose "Taxable goods" value.

Image Tab
Move to “Image” tab and choose the images for product.
Step-by-Step action:

- Select the menu section "Images".
- Select the tab "Images".
- Use "Browse Files..." button to choose images for product.
- Press the "Upload Files" button to upload images for product.

Important Information:
|
The images used in our script vary in sizes, depending on the website design (template).
Still, to avoid possible problems we suggest choosing a definite image format for every website.
For instance, in our Demo Store we used the following parameters:
- Recommended Product Image size: 720х1012px.

After the images are uploaded you can also make them visible in the main page. To do this, follow the instructions below.
Detailed description:

- Make sure the section "Images" is enabled.
- Radio button for "Base Image": Choose the main image that will be displayed on the product page.
- Radio button for "Small Image": Choose the image of the product that will be displayed on the Product list page of the boutique.
- Radio button for "Thumbnail": Choose the image that will be be displayed on the Cart page. (In our case, we used the same image of a product for all options, but you can choose different images for your products.)
- Option "Sort order": allows you to set the order according to which the image of the product will displayed in the front-end, i.e. the first image of the product will appear first, then - the second one, etc.

Estimated Delivery
Detailed description:

- Click on the "Estimated Delivery/Shipping" tab in the left menu.
- Option "Estimated Delivery Status": allows you to configure the Estimated Delivery Status of the product you create. (You can choose on of the suggested options: Inherited - the system will display the delivery date set for the category the product belongs to; Enabled - the system will display the date you set for this particular product; Disabled - delivery date will not be displayed for this product)
- Option "Estimated Delivery Date" allows you to add information about a product estimated delivery date. For more details read here.
- Option "Estimated Delivery Text" allows you to add information about a product estimated delivery date in text format.
- Option "Estimated Shipping Status": allows you to configure the Estimated Shipping status of the product you create. (You can choose one of the following options: Inherited - the system will display the shipping date set for the category the product belongs to; Enabled - the system will display the shipping date you set for this particular product; Disabled - shipping date will not be displayed for this product)
- Option "Estimated Shipping Date From": allows you to set the start of the shipping date for this product.
- Option "Estimated Shipping Date To": allows you to set the end of the shipping date for this product.
- Option "Estimated Shipping Text": allows you to add information about the shipping date in text format.

Inventory Tab
Move to “Inventory” tab. Fill in the following fields:
Detailed description:

- Click on the "Inventory" tab in the left menu.
- Field "Qty": Enter Item Quantity.
- Field "Use Config Settings": Uncheck this field if you want to manage quantity in shopping cart.
- Option "Minimum Qty Allowed in Shopping Cart": allows you to set the minimum quantity of products in the shopping cart. You will also be able to set the maximum quantity using other options.
- Field "Stock Availability": Choose "In Stock" value.

Categories and Custom Options Tabs
Move to “Categories” tab. Set the Boutique the product belongs to.
Detailed description:

- Click on the "Categories" tab in the left menu.
- Tick the checkbox in the boutique the product belongs to.
- Tab "Custom Options": allows you to set different product attributes to be later used as product sorting criteria. For more details read section 10 here How to set up the same product with different attributes?

View the product
The new product will appear in the Product List of Admin Dashboard.
The new product will also appear on the Product Page of the membership Store where you will be able to look through its description as shown on the screenshots below.
