SYSTEM > CONFIGURATION > PLUMROCKET PRIVATE SALES


In this section you will find a detailed description of Private Sales Module features and settings that can be reached at the admin panel following the access path System > Configuration > Plumrocket Private Sales


System configuration menu


In order to access the Module configuration page you will have to log in first and follow these instructions:

Private Sales Script Configuration

General Module Confuguration features are displayed on the screenshot below. Most of the features are set on Default and can be further changed according to the customers' needs. The only exceptions here are the "Boutique section width" and "Space between boutique images" values - these are set only once before the website theme is developed.

  1. Click on the “Plumrocket Private Sales” tab, to access Module Configuration page
  2. Option "Enable sales preview": this option lets the administrator preview the boutique or product page at a particular time period. The administrated can set any time frame and see how the website is going to look like at that particular period.
  3. Option "Number of home page columns": Here the value is set on default, which will determine how many sections (columns) the home page will be divided into
  4. Option "Boutique section width(px)": This option determines the width of the section where boutiques will be shown. This value is set only once before the website theme is developed
  5. Option "Space between boutique images(px)": This option determines the width of gaps between the blocks of boutiques on the page.
  6. Option "Stock quantity alert number": This option alerts clients with message "X products left" when the quantity is equal or less than entered number
  7. Option "Enable default shipping method": If enabled, clients will see shipping cost added in cart subtotal
  8. Option "Default shipping method key": This option will help you set the shipping method which will appear "on default" at your customers' cart page.
  9. Option "Default shipping country code":If a client does not indicate his country in his user profile, the system will automatically use the default country code set in this field. Use standard ISO country codes (two letters).
  10. Option "When Boutique/Product expires": allows you to select actions that will take place after the boutique or product sales period expires.
  11. Press "Save".

Splash Page Configuration

In this section you will find a detailed description of Private Sales Module features and settings that can be reached at the admin panel following the access path Plumrocket -> Private Sales -> Splash Page

First, open the Splash Page Configuration menu as shown below

GENERAL

The tab "General" allows the administrator to enable or disable Splash Page and edit the content of the text block that appears next to the Log-in form.

The screenshots below show the settings of this tab when the Splash is enabled. For your convenience and better understanding we have highlighted the options corresponding to different blocks on the front-end.


Enabled splash

  1. Click on the “GENERAL”, to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Enable Splash Page”: enables or disables the Splash Page. Once the Splash is enabled, the users will only be able to access your website after registration
  3. Option “Become a member text”: the administrator can edit the text block that appears on the splash page next to the Log-in form. As a rule, the text contains brief website description and the benefits of registration for prospective customers.

Disabled Splash


The following screenshots show the settings of this tab when the Splash is disabled.

  1. Click on the “GENERAL”, to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Enable Splash Page”: enables or disables the Splash Page. Once the Splash is disabled, the users will be able to access your website without registration
  3. Option “Become a member text”: the user will not see this text block since the Splash is disabled.

USER REGISTRATION

The tab "User Registration" allows the administrator to control the functions of user registration, as well as "Launching Soon" mode.


User Registration Enabled


The screenshots below show the USER REGISTRATION settings when the function of user registration is enabled. For your convenience and better understanding we have highlighted the options corresponding to different blocks on the front-end.

  1. Click on the “USER REGISTRATION” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “User Registrations” enables or disables registration at the website. If the registration is enabled, the users will be able to use the "Become a member" button on the Splash page to get registered.
  3. Option “Registration”: allows to configure the type of registration form page. The Administration can select from the following options: Only AJAX, Static Page and Both options. It is recommended to select Both options
  4. Option “Forgot Password” allows to configure the type of Password Recovery form. The Administration can select from the following options: Only AJAX, Static Page and Both options. It is recommended to select Both options

User Registration Disabled


The screenshots below show the USER REGISTRATION settings when the function of user registration is disabled.

  1. Click on the “USER REGISTRATION” tab, to access the tab settings
  2. Option “User Registrations” enables or disabler user registration. If the registration is disabled the users will not be able to use the "Become a member" button on the Splash page to get registered (the button will be hidden).

Launching Soon Mode Enabled


Launching Soon Mode is a special website mode that allows your prospective customers to get registered at the website before all of its boutiques and services are launched. The option of logging in the system is inaccessible in this mode.

The screenshots below represent the settings of this tab, when the Launching Soon Mode is enabled.

  1. Click on the “USER REGISTRATION” tab, to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Launching Soon” enables or disable the mode. If the Launching Soon Mode is enabled, the users will see only the "Become a member" button on the Splash Page. The Log in form will be visually unavailable
  3. Option “Launching Soon Registration Confirmation Text”: Website administrator can edit the text that appears after successful registration when the website functions in the Launching Soon Mode. As a rule, this text block contains brief information concerning the purpose and the opening date of the website.

Launching Soon Mode Disabled


The screenshots below show the tab settings when the "Launching Soon" mode is disabled.

  1. Click on the “USER REGISTRATION” tab, to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Launching Soon” enables or disables the mode.
  3. Option Sign In”: If the "Launching Soon" mode is disabled, the users will be able to log in after successful registration. The registration and log-in forms will be available to all users.

META INFORMATION

The "META INFORMATION" tab allows the administrator to edit the Splash page META-tags.


Description.png Detailed description of functionality:
  1. Click on the “META INFORMATION” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Meta Title”: enter the title of the Splash page
  3. Option “Meta Keywords”: enter the keywords for the Splash page here
  4. Option “Meta Description”: provide a short description for the Splash page in this field

IMAGES

The tab "IMAGES" allows the administrator to edit the background image of the Splash page.

The screenshots below show a detailed description of the settings and options of this tab

  1. Click on the “IMAGES” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “ADD FILE”: this button launches the interface to upload new images
  3. Option “SORT ORDER”: the parameters determining the sequence of images are set in this field
  4. Option “ACTIVE FROM”: sets the starting date of the image display. If it is set on default (00/00/00), the image will be permanently displayed on the Splash page
  5. Option “ACTIVE TO”: sets the ending date of the image display. If it is set on default (00/00/00), the image will be permanently displayed on the Splash page
  6. Option “EXCLUDE”: allows you to temporarily exclude the image form the list not showing it on the website
  7. Option “REMOVE”: deletes the image

Home Page Configuration

In this section you will find a detailed description of Private Sales Module features and settings that can be reached at the admin panel following the access path Plumrocket->Private Sales->Home Page

You will learn how to set default user pages, build their layout and manage the banners on the website.

First, open the Home Page Configuration page as shown below

GENERAL SETTINGS

The tab "GANERAL" allows the administrator to enable or disable the Home Page, as well as set the default pages the users will see after they log in system.

The screenshots below show the tab settings when the Home Page is enabled.


Home Page Enabled

  1. Click on the “GENERAL SETTINGS” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Enable Home Page” allows you to enable or disable the display of Home Pages on the website. Here the Home Page is enabled and you can see the list of boutiques on the website
  3. Option “Default Home Page” allows you to configure default settings. So far, the administrator can set a general Home Page, as well as configure default settings for users of different sexes if required, i.e. when users log in the website, they will automatically be directed to the default page set for their accounts.

Home Page Disabled

  1. Click on the “GENERAL SETTINGS” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Enable Home Page” allows you to enable or disable the display of Home Pages on the website. Here the Home Page is disabled, and not a single list of boutiques will be shown on the website.

HOME PAGE LAYOUT

Content


Due to the options of this module and its intuitive interface the tab "HOME PAGE LAYOUT" allows the administrator to easily manage the website banners as well as the number of boutiques on the page. You can create a unique layout of the Home Page. In its turn, each Home Page can be divided into two main sections: Featured Today and Ending Soon. These also is one more section called Coming Soon, that has the same layout irrespective of the Home Page.

Below you will find the instructions how to set the above mentioned sections.


Featured Today Section


The screenshot below shows the options available at the HOME PAGE LAYOUT tab

  1. Click on the “Home Page Layout” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “Selected Home Page”: If there are several Home Pages created for your website, this option will help you select the one you want to edit
  3. Option “Enable Ending Soon Section”: allows you to enable or disable the "Ending Soon" section on your website.
  4. Option “Selected Section” Each Home Page is divided into two main sections: Featured Today and Ending Soon. This option will help you select the section you want to edit
  5. Option “Move Boutiques to "Ending Soon"(days)”: allows you to automatically transfer the boutique from this Home Page to the Ending Soon section when the sales period is going to end in the number of days the administrator had set in this field.
  6. Option "Selected section columns": allows you to set the maximum number of columns for a new line in block.
  7. Option “Enable Upcoming Soon Section”: allows you to enable or disable the Upcoming Soon section on your website.
  8. Option “Visual Layout Editor”: is a powerful tool that will help you build a unique layout of each Home Page including the sections belonging to it.

In order to learn how to edit and create new page layout follow the instructions below.

  1. Option DELETE ROW: Use this option to delete a row
  2. Option ADD A ROW: allows to add a new row with cells
  3. CLICK IN THE CENTER OF THE CELL in order to call the cells management menu
  4. Option BOUTIQUE: allows you to fix a boutique for this cell
  5. Option BANNER: allows you to fix a banner for this cell (you choose the type of banner that will will be later displayed in this cell)
  6. Option BLANK CELL: is used for blank cells
  7. Option SPLIT CELLS: allows you to split previously joined cells.

Here we will try to show you how to edit the layout of each Home Page and its sections. For you convenience we present the screenshots of both admin panel and website front-end for you to better understand the correlation between them.

Let's find out how to edit the layout of the main section - Featured Today. Each section is divided into three blocks as shown below:

  1. TOP BLOCK: The boutiques and banners from this block are always located in the top of the page. The layout will totally correspond to the structure set in this tab (the number or rows and boutiques should be set here in this tab).
  2. MIDDLE BLOCK: This block, unlike the other ones, is characterized by cyclic display on the page. You have to set the layout (the number of rows with boutiques or banners) that will be cyclically displayed in the middle of the page. Note, this option works only if there are enough active boutiques belonging to a particular Home Page.
  3. BOTTOM BLOCK: This block is very similar to the "TOP BLOCK". But the boutiques and banners from this block are always located in the bottom of the page. The layout will totally correspond to the structure set in this tab (the number or rows and boutiques should be set here in this tab).

You should keep in mind the priority of page layout setting. The boutiques should be set in such an order:

  • First, the layout of the TOP BLOCK
  • Then the layout of the MIDDLE BLOCK
  • Finally, the layout of the BOTTOM BLOCK

Ending Soon Section

In order to create the Ending Soon section layout, follow the instructions above, since the same blocks and elements are used to configure it. The screenshots below will convince you of it.

  1. Click on the HOME PAGE LAYOUT to access the tab settings
  2. Select ENDING SOON section, to open the required page to build and edit the layout
  3. Visual Layout Editor:
  4. TOP BLOCK: The boutiques and banners form this block are always located in the top of the page. The layout will totally correspond to the structure set in this tab (the number or rows and boutiques should be set here in this tab).
  5. MIDDLE BLOCK: This block, unlike the other ones, is characterized by cyclic display on the page. You have to set the layout (the number of rows with boutiques or banners) that will be cyclically displayed in the middle of the page. Note, this option works only if there are enough active boutiques belonging to a particular Home Page.
  6. BOTTOM BLOCK: This block is very similar to the "TOP BLOCK". But the boutiques and banners from this block are always located in the bottom of the page. The layout will totally correspond to the structure set in this tab (the number or rows and boutiques should be set here in this tab).

You should keep in mind the priority of page layout setting. The boutiques should be set in such an order:

  • First, the layout of the TOP BLOCK
  • Then the layout of the MIDDLE BLOCK
  • Finally, the layout of the BOTTOM BLOCK

Coming Soon Section


Enable this section for it to appear in the bottom of the Home Page. You will have the opportunity to show the boutiques that will be soon launched on your website.

The screenshots below show how to enable or disable this section.

  1. Select “ENABLED” to enable the section. When saved this section will appear on the Home Page. To disable this section, select the 'DISABLED'

META INFORMATION

The "META INFORMATION" tab allows the administrator to manage META-tags of the website main page.

  2. Option “Meta Title”: enter the page title in this field
  3. Option “Meta Keywords”: enter the page keywords in this field
  4. Option “Meta Description”: enter a short page description in this field.

BANNERS

The "BANNERS" tab allows the administrator to manage the Home Page banners. The screenshots below show the tab options and settings in details.

  2. Block “BANNERS”: shows the uploaded banners and their parameters
  3. Option “ADD FILE”: launches the interface for uploading new banners
  4. Option “URL”: shows the banner URL

  6. Option “Hide”: hides the banner
  7. Option “Remove”: removes the banner URL

Categories Configuration

In this section you will find a detailed description of Private Sales Module features and settings that can be reached at the admin panel following the access path Catalog->Manage Categories

You will learn how to set the time period of active boutiques, indicate their type and submit the boutiques to different categories on the website.

First, open the Manage Categories page as shown below

The screenshot below contains a detailed description of Private Sales Module features and settings which a user can set for any category or boutique.

  1. Click on the “Private sales Settings” tab to access the tab settings
  2. Option “CATEGORY TYPE”: allows you to set the type of category.

So far, there are three main types of categories:

  • Boutique - this category will represent a boutique containing products
  • Home page - this category will be displayed as a separate Home Page containing several boutiques. As a rule, website administrators use this category in order to group several boutiques on some basis. For instance, "Goods for Men" or "Gifts"
  • Group of botiques - it is a general category that will contain a list of boutiques. As a rule, website administrators use this category in order to group several boutiques according to the sales periods.

For Example: Let's say you have 10 boutiques. 5 of them include "Goods for Men" and 5 boutiques offer "Goods for Women"; and you want to launch boutiques FOR MEN fist (the first week), and boutiques FOR WOMEN - a week later. In this case you will have to create: two Home Pages - MEN and WOMEN two Group of boutiques - First Week and Second Week Each Group of boutiques should contain 5 boutiques belonging to a particular Home Page


     3.  Option “START OF SALES”: Set the date for the category to be displayed on the website. This option is not accessible for the "Home Page" type
     4.  Option “END OF SALES”: Set the date for the category to expire and disappear from the website. This option is not accessible for the "Home Page" type
     5.  Option “STOREFRONT”: If selected - sales never expire on this homepage
     6.  Option “SINGLE PRODUCT BOUTIQUE” If the product is selected, the boutique will be pointed to the product page instead of the product list
     7.  Option “BOUTIQUE HOME PAGES” is accessible only for the "Boutique" type. Select the Home Page the new boutique belongs to. The same boutique can be displayed on one or more Home Pages at the same time
     8.  Button “BOUTIQUE PREVIEW” Press here to preview boutique in the frontend. (The screenshot below represents the frontend image of the preview mode.)

This is what boutiques and products preview looks like in the frontend. The red field on top informs of the preview mode and the calendar of date selection. The content will look like the one set for the particular date.

  1. This is the field that informs of the boutiques preview mode.
  2. After you set the date you will be able to see what the website will look like on that day.
  3. Press "Exit preview", in order to exit Preview mode.
